Your success will depend on the business relationships you will develop with people from different fields. You must promote yourself to get referrals, which are essentials to your success!
Tasks
- Develop your clientele

- Update your market knowledge by participating in continuous education programs
During your first year, 90% of your efforts will go towards developing your clientele. You will need to be fully committed to reach your objectives.

Prerequisites
To become a mortgage broker, you must successfully complete a specialized training program in mortgage brokerage recognized by the AMF.
You must follow the mortgage broker training with an accredited college, which is offered in a class sessions or online. It’s your choice! Then, you must successfully pass the AMF’s exam (the AMF is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial including mortgage brokers) to obtain the certification of mortgage broker.
